Host a Workshop for your Group
Yoga teacher and early childhood music educator Cheryl Anderson Sabo, M.M., is happy to present workshops for dancers, church groups, preschool teachers, parent groups, and expectant parent groups. Workshop themes you might select include:
Building Community through Sacred Music and Movement - Music and movement are ways of knowing the world. The physical act of moving and creating art with our physical forms helps us understand, order, experience, and communicate individual and shared identities. Through gently led individual movement, simple singable songs, and lightly choreographed group dances, we connect and strengthen our hearts, bodies, and spirits. This workshop is popular as a vespers or quiet evening service. All levels welcome, no experience required.
Music Together Lullaby Workshop - Learn how to soothe your baby and yourself in this workshop full of ideas to take home and get started with right away. Bond with your little one before birth, during birth, and during the 4th trimester with meaningful ways to weave music and love throughout your family. No singing experience required! Your voice is your baby’s favorite sound, guaranteed.
Supporting Early Childhood Music Development - Learn about how infants, toddlers and young children learn music, then fill your toolbox with ideas to use all day, every day in support of early childhood music development.
Music in your Classroom: a Research Based Approach - Discover the rich history of early childhood music learning theory through discussion and demonstration. Experience and play with research based, developmentally appropriate activities you can use on Monday morning in your classroom to connect with and support your learning objectives.
Cheryl is also happy to create custom workshops to meet the needs of your group.
